Mission & Vision “The idea of creating a new-model record company was established in 2007. The basic idea was to sign and launch artists with unique qualities and with conclusive potential to work on an international level. Besides the traditional channels of launching artists, Kabuki’s intention was to utilize various digital platforms, as one of the main feeds to spread content. Kabuki will not prioritize any specific genre of music, but will open minded meet any qualified artist or substantial music that has the potential to reach a wide audience. Our aspiration is to become one of the most exiting independent labels throughout the European territory. No matter if it’s about metal, rock or pop music, Kabuki Records will release the best alternatives of artists the world can offer.” -Kabuki Records 2008 About Kabuki "Kabuki (歌舞伎, kabuki) is a form of traditional Japanese theatre. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by some of its performers. The individual kanji characters, from left to right, mean sing (歌), dance (舞), and skill (伎). Kabuki is therefore sometimes translated as "the art of singing and dancing." These are, however, ateji, characters that do not reflect actual etymology. The word kabuki is believed to derive from the verb kabuku, meaning "to lean" or "to be out of the ordinary"..." -Wikipedia |
